Coronavirus Update – 2nd November 2020 – Shooting Ranges Closed
Coronavirus Update 2nd November 2020
Shooting Ranges Closed
5th November to 2nd December 2020
In response to the increasing number of COVID cases the Government has ordered certain leisure facilities to close, including shooting and archery ranges, golf courses and driving ranges, and riding stables. This closure commences on Thursday 5th November and is scheduled to end on Wednesday 2nd December 2020.

I am bitterly disappointed that, despite the enormous effort and resources invested by the target shooting community to successfully deliver COVID secure shooting since May, we are now obliged to close our ranges to civilian shooting. That said, we recognise our responsibility to play our part in reducing the spread of the virus; and fervently hope that this lockdown will be successful and enable us to welcome target shooters back to the ranges on Thursday 3rd December.
The closure of our Bisley range complex to civilian shooting includes all rifle ranges, the National Clay Shooting Centre, Bisley Shooting Ground, and armouries.
Accommodation, catering, training, and use of caravan sites at Bisley will all be suspended during the closure.
Our staff will be working hard, Monday to Friday, to ensure that services to members and affiliated clubs are maintained; and that the ranges are in tip-top order when they re-open again next month.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries.
