Muzzle Brakes
Muzzle Brakes
Please be aware whenever a muzzle brake is likely to be used during your shoot it is a requirement to inform the range office at the time of booking.
Muzzle brakes can disrupt the neighbouring shooters and as such when requested the range office will allocate a lane away from non-muzzle brake users.
If the range office are not told at the time of booking this can cause upset to other shooters as well as delays in your own shooting due to additional admin duties required.
On busy days it may not be possible to permit the use of a muzzle brake and therefore you may be asked to remove it or pay a surcharge for the additional safety lane.
As noted in range regulations
Additional Constraints
16. Shooters who wish to use muzzle loading firearms, muzzle brakes or fire from “sporting” stances must inform the Range Office at the time of booking. Any firer who does not give advance notice of such requirement may find that proximity of other shooters prohibits their desired activity.
