Team invitation

I am delighted and greatly honoured to have been appointed as Captain of the NRA Team to the Channel Islands in 2023. I am very pleased to have the support of Kim Pope (Suffolk and Ireland) as Vice Captain, Ian Ashworth (Gloucestershire, England and Great Britain) as Adjutant, and Simon Dickson (West of Scotland and Scotland) as Head Wind Coach.

The tour dates will be confirmed in due course, but will likely be 24th May until 5th June 2023. The team will enjoy some training sessions before leaving for both Jersey and Guernsey.

I would like to select a team with a mix of experience but especially concentrating on the development of those who may not have toured with a representative team before.

To be considered please send me a brief CV of your shooting experience (both team and individual) over the past 2-3 years. A successful tour needs team players with other abilities apart from shooting skill, so please highlight what else you might bring to the party.

The closing date for applications is 31st July 2022, with the intention of confirming selection of the squad and reserves in August, prior to an initial training session before the end of the season.

If we don’t know each other then do please introduce yourself to me over the next few weeks at Bisley. It helps to put names to faces. I am usually in the Artists or the North London when not on the range.

I look forward to hearing from you. Kindly email me at jamesmehta@me.com
