We are very sorry to report the death of Tim Clarke after a short illness. A founder member of the Central Bankers Rifle Club and former captain of Oxford University RC, Tim shot TR to a high standard for over 50 years. He made 13 appearances in the Queen’s Final, his first being in 1972 and his last as recently as 2023. This run included at least one appearance in each decade, and a 2nd place in 1987.

Over the same period, he made 8 appearances for England, 5 in the National Match and 3 in the Mackinnon. He toured 5 times with the Great Britain Rifle Team, shooting in the Australia (then Empire) Match and the Palma Match in 1979. He was also reserve twice for Great Britain in the Kolapore Match.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and many friends at this time. A full obituary will appear in the NRA magazine in due course.
