We are sad to share news of the death of Nick Bomford, who has passed away peacefully at the age of 86.

Nick was educated at Kelly College and Trinity College, Oxford, where he read History and captained the Oxford University Rifle Club.

He went on to have a distinguished career in education, teaching at Wellington and becoming Headmaster of first Monmouth, then Uppingham and finally Harrow.

Each of these schools saw key developments under his leadership, and their students inspired by his love of learning and shooting as Nick was a force for both.

Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
