NRA Announces Appointment of New Youth Shooting Development Officer

National Rifle Association
We are delighted to announce that Samantha Frost will take up the new role of Youth Shooting Development Officer from early September.
With a passion for supporting youth shooting across all disciplines, Sam brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the position. An accomplished target rifle shooter, she has proudly represented the Channel Islands and previously served as President of her university rifle club. As a qualified NRA Range Safety Officer, Sam combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of the importance of grassroots engagement in the shooting community.
Currently supporting the Competitions Department of the National Smallbore Rifle Association (NSRA), Sam has led several national competitions and recently relaunched an initiative designed to build confidence and interest in the sport among beginners and young shooters.
The Youth Shooting Development Officer plays a vital role in supporting the NRA’s mission to expand access to shooting sports and nurture the next generation of participants. A key responsibility will involve working in consultation with relevant stakeholders to ensure a clear and supportive pathway for young shooters. The role will also lead the rollout of a new training framework for individuals and groups beginning their shooting journey.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sam to this important new role,” said Simon Lee, Secretary General of the NRA. “Her energy and proven commitment to developing the sport make her the ideal person to lead our youth engagement initiatives.”
