We were saddened to learn of that Jim Thompson, NRA Vice President, passed away in Peterborough Hospital, Ontario, Canada at 6pm local time yesterday; his wife Marion along with his daughters Claire and Eva were with him at the end.

Jim was a former Executive Vice President of the DCRA, a post that he held for many years. He has been a stalwart of relations between the NRA and DCRA, was involved in Canadian shooting for many years fostering competition between GB and Canada; and held many positions including Commandant of the Canadian Bisley Team and Match Director for the successful Long Range World Championships and the Palma Match in 2007.
