This was run by Hereford and Worcester Rifle Association, taking up the initiative started by the NRA last year and now acting as the successor to the Midlands Rifle Association.
There were 46 entries in all, most of whom shot on both days, firing 41 shots to count each day and taking their turn in the butts. In light winds and good weather (perhaps a little too humid!), scores were high, especially on the Saturday when David Rose swept the TR board. He handed the baton to Michael Cooper on Sunday and Michael also won the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II cup (dropping just one point over the two days), awarded this year for the TR grand aggregate. In FTR, Celt Ridout won the Saturday while George Barnard won the Sunday and grand. F-open cups were won by David Raybould (Saturday and grand) and Trevor Howard (Saturday). The prizes on Sunday were presented by Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, Captain of the House of Commons Rifle team and a member of HWRA. It was also great to see Nic Couldrey, NRA Regional Ranges Manager.
