The NRA has been informed of an issue with RG 5.56 ball and tracer ammunition manufactured in 2012.  Rounds have been found to have dents in the cases and distortion of the nose of the bullet.  Manufacturer’s trials have indicated that there is little if any additional risk if such rounds are fired.  Nevertheless, members using 5.56mm RG ammunition manufactured in 2012, particularly, if identification is available, batch ADAC 11901-04, are advised to check all rounds carefully and reject any that show signs of damage.
