The Inter Counties Meeting consists of both Individual and Team competitions, over a weekend typically in mid-June.

THE R JARVIS TROPHY: Individual Match (Saturday)

This match is open to any TR shooter who is a full member of the NRA or a member of an affiliated county shooting in the Meeting.

CONDITIONS: 300, 500 and 600x, 2 convertible sighting shots and 7 to count at each range

PRIZES:

  • 1st Place: R Jarvis Trophy and NRA Gold Medal
  • 2nd Place: NRA Silver Medal
  • 3rd Place: NRA Bronze Medal
  • Under 25: Trophy
  • Under 23: Trophy

THE LT COL H JONES VC MEMORIAL TROPHY: Team Match (Saturday)

OPEN TO: Teams of eight nominated firers from the squad of ten

CONDITIONS: 300, 500 and 600x, 1 convertible sighting shot and 10 to count at 3/5/600 yards. Coaching within the squad is permitted. Two targets per team. 1 hour at each distance.

PRIZES:

  • 1st Place: Colonel “H” Jones VC Statuette and 10 NRA Gold Medals
  • 2nd Place: 10 NRA Silver Medals
  • 3rd Place: 10 NRA Bronze Medals

THE NRA LONG RANGE TEAM MATCH: Team Match (Sunday)

OPEN TO: Teams of eight nominated firers from the squad of 10 which have been placed in the first 25 in Match 2.

CONDITIONS: 900 and 1000x, 2 convertible sighting shots and 15 to count

PRIZES:

  • 1st Place: NRA Challenge Trophy & 10 NRA Gold Medals
  • 2nd Place: 10 NRA Silver Medals
  • 3rd Place: 10 NRA Bronze Medals

 

THE COUNTIES SHORT RANGE MATCH: Team Match (Sunday)

OPEN TO: Teams of eight nominated firers from the squads of 10 which are not firing in the NRA Long Range Team Match.

CONDITIONS: 500 and 600x, 2 convertible sighting shots and 15 to count

PRIZES:

  • 1st Place: Shield

 

THE NRA INTER COUNTIES CHALLENGE TROPHY

CONDITIONS: Awarded to the team whose scores in the Lt Col H Jones VC Memorial Trophy and Long Range Team Match make up the highest Aggregate.

PRIZES:

  • 1st Place: Challenge Trophy and 10 NRA Gold Medals
  • 2nd Place: 10 NRA Silver Medals
  • 3rd Place: 10 NRA Bronze Medals

 

THE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS: Individual Match (Sunday)

OPEN TO: One individual per county, nominated immediately on completion of Match 3

CONDITIONS: 1000x, 2 convertible sighting shots and 15 to count

PRIZE:

  • 1st Place: A challenge Trophy presented in 1990 by the Comins family
