“After a photograph of the 150th Queen’s Hundred, the competitors set about their 900 yard shoots at 14:30. The quality of the 2015 GGG ammunition that had been specially supplied for the event quickly became apparent. This correspondent was fortunate enough to be manning the scoreboard for target 19, both of whose firers scored 75.14 to be among four on the range – Messrs Calvert and Shepherd, along with Walker and Langley elsewhere.

At 1000 yards, there were nine more 75s scored amongst the top 50, leading to five huge scores of 299 out of 300 (the total is an aggregate including Queen’s II). There was a clear winner though, with a third Gold Medal taken by Glyn Barnett on 299.47. He was a full eight V-bulls ahead of Silver and Bronze Badge winners Phil Hakim and Elliot Sewell, who had to tie-shoot to earn them. Jon Deane and Chris Haley were just one V-bull further adrift. Glyn, a man on a mission, had had a good day.”  Read more on the NRA Facebook
