The NRA/ARA Adaptive Championships take place at Bisley on Melville Range Complex and is open to any injured Serving or Veteran Service personnel.
The Championship typically comprises three matches:
- Advancing Target:Â A rapid-fire match, with targets advancing from 25m
- Snaps and Rapids:Â A 3-stage 25m shoot with timed turning targets
- Mini McQueen:Â A sniper style match of 10 x 3 sec exposures at irregular intervals from a Mini McQueen Castle, using a scoped .22 RF Rifle
All competitions are designed to be fired from a seated position with support from a bench and rest, but can also be shot in a standing position. .22 Rugger Gallery Rifles are used, which have minimal recoil.
In addition all competitors are free to enjoy and experience shooting Muzzle Loading firearms in between competitions.

NRA Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are presented to the top placed competitors in each event, in each Serving and Veteran Class
Additional medals are presented to the Championship winners â the top three competitors in each class, whoâs combined results in the three events create the highest score
Awards are presented on range following the completion of the competition.
