We are very sorry to report the passing of John Gilmour last Thursday following a massive stroke. He was in his 92nd year, and until his stroke, a regular visitor to Bisley.

A member of the Manydown and North London Rifle Clubs, he was a regular for the Hampshire Rifle Association, rendering his support by attending their matches long after he had stopped shooting.

Throughout his long TR career, he shot and coached for Scotland.

His many friends will miss his unfailing kindness, courtesy and generosity of spirit.
