I am honoured to have been elected by the NRA Council as Captain of the NRA Team to the Channel Islands in May/June 2025. I am delighted that I will be supported by Matthew Millar (Surrey, England and Great Britain) as Vice-Captain, Lucinda Taylor (Lancashire and England) as Adjutant, and Sandy Walker GC (Surrey, Scotland and Great Britain) as Main Coach.

We intend to be highly innovative in how we go about preparing and leading the 2025 team. We are seeking passionate and determined people who are aiming to develop their confidence and shooting skillset. Our novel and enjoyable training programme will be designed to challenge and engage each team member in an environment of total trust, where self-reflection and honesty is actively encouraged.

It is likely many of those selected will not have toured with a national team before; our goal is that each person will complete this experience better prepared for whatever next step they choose to take on their shooting journey. And most importantly of all, we will have an extremely enjoyable tour visiting some of the most scenic ranges in the world and competing against the most hospitable of people.

If these ideas excite you, then we would love to hear from you. Please email your expression of interest to me at jrwp762@gmail.com and we will send you a brief form to complete. The closing date for applications is Sunday 28 July 2024.

We very much hope you would like to join us.

James Postle (Gloucestershire, England and Great Britain)
