We are very sorry to announce the passing of Robin Pizer earlier this morning. Robin was Chairman of the Association from 2009 to 2013.

A member of the Manchester Rifle Club and the Uppingham Veterans Rifle Club, Robin was better known for his prowess with a Match Rifle than a Target Rifle, given that he won the Hopton in 1980 and represented England in the Elcho several times around that period.

However he was Captain of the GB team that won the 2009 Kolapore and also captained the England teams in the 1990 National and the 1991 Mackinnon.

A past President of the English XX club, he was the Honorary Secretary of the Council of the National Match for many years right up to the time of his death.

A full obituary will be posted in a future journal.
