Overview

This 2 day event covers the GR&P solid slug events as well as the practical shotgun match, part of the NRA Shotgun League, and it is strucured as follows:

Saturday- morning – TP1 and Multi-Target (all classes) and the NRA Embassy Cup (SGM and SGSA).

Sunday – all day – Practical match which forms part of the NRA Shotgun League.

  • It is a Meeting rule that all competitors are required to wear hearing and eye protection (unless otherwiseĀ stated in individual event conditions). The NRA will not be liable for any injury sustained through lack ofĀ appropriate protection.
  • Ammunition will be available for purchase from the NRA Range Office on the day.
  • Fibre wad ammunition only.
  • Can be shot without a Shooter Certification Card (SCC) with one to one supervision by an NRA Certified RCO or other competent person, please inform us in advance if this will be the case.
  • If you are a FULL member of the NRA and would like to be assessed for an NRA Shooter Certification CardĀ (SCC), this can be carried out on the day subject to prior agreement with the discipline representative.Ā There is a fee of Ā£25 for this, please inform us in advance if you require this facility.

Shotgun League Divisions

The two standard Divisions do not permit the use of the following:

  • Detachable magazines of any type
  • Speed loaders
  • Re-dots, optical or electronic sighting/aiming systems of any type
  • Load restriction at the start of the course of fire of 9 rounds

There are no magazine capacity restrictions in ANY of the divisions.

  • OpenĀ – Any shotgun
  • Standard Auto –Ā Any semi automatic shotgun with a fixed magazine that does not have any of the prohibited items listed above
  • Standard ManualĀ – Any manually reloaded (pump action, lever action, bolt action etc) shotgun with a fixed magazine that does not have any of the prohibited items listed above

  • Ā£10.20 for Target Shotgun T&P1, MT1 and Embassy Cup matches
  • Ā£30.60 for Practical Shotgun match

10% Discount if entering 4 or more matches

    Ammunition required for the Practical Match:

    Birdshot – at least 100 rounds, max size UK nr 4s, FIBRE wad only.

    Buckshot – at least 8 rounds of max size SG/00, Fibre wad only.

    Slug – at least 16 rounds- fixed wads or fibre wads only.

    No plastic shot cups.
