David Lacey’s term of office as the Chairman of the Association is due to expire in February 2026 after two successful terms.
The election of a new Chair of the NRA will take place at the 2026 February meeting of General Council.
The Chair shall be elected for a term of up to three years, and shall hold office until the conclusion of the meeting of the General Council at the end of the term of office, unless a new appointment has been made before such meeting of the General Council. The Chair in office may stand for re-election, but only so far as his total period in office will not exceed six years.
Any two members of General Council may nominate any other Registered Member or Associate Member of the Association for Chair by giving notice in writing to the Secretary General.

Treasurer
Andrew Reynolds’ term of office as the Treasurer of the Association is due to expire in September 2025 after two successful terms.
The election of a new Treasurer of the NRA will take place at the 2025 September meeting of General Council.
Any individual having appropriate financial expertise may be appointed as Treasurer. The appointment will be made for up to 3 years until the conclusion of the meeting of the General Council next following 31st July in the year of the end of the term unless a new appointment has been made before such meeting of the General Council. At the end of the term of appointment the Treasurer may stand for re-election.
At the end of the term of appointment of the current Treasurer or upon a vacancy occurring, any 2 Members of the General Council or the Council may nominate another individual or individuals by giving notice in writing to the Secretary General.

West Midlands Regional Representative (Casual Vacancy)
Members of the General Council have an important role in the Association, representing the views of Members and providing advice to the board of Trustees.
We are seeking NRA Members who are willing to fill the vacancy for the West Midlands Regional Representative. This is a wonderful opportunity to be an integral part of advising and supporting the NRA. This is a Casual Vacancy to the end of the current term, July 2027.
The General Council meet three times per year; in February and September via Zoom and in June in person at Bisley. Members of the General Council are encouraged to serve on the Shooting and Membership Committees and Disciplinary Body.
Candidates for the West Midlands Regional Representative must be nominated by a current Member of General Council.
