Following my calling notice last year for the Veterans Long Range World Championships to be held in South Africa originally in March 2023, and which have now been postponed to March 2024, I now extend an invitation to all individuals who will qualify as a Veteran (60 years of age or more) on or before the day of the first Individual World Championship Match, believed to be on or about 7 March 2024.

My management team remains unchanged, David Richards as Vice-Captain and Stephen Penrose as Adjutant.

Subject to the pandemic, I plan to have three training and selection weekends in August and October 2021 and May 2022, before reducing the squad to a short list of around 30. We are planning a recce tour of those on the short list to shoot the SABU championships the preceding year (March 2023) following which I will select the final team of 20. ย ย

If you are interested in selection (and have not already applied), could you please drop me an email atย charles.brooks@penningtonslaw.comย โ€“ before the beginning of the 2021 Imperial Meeting, so that performances in the Imperial can be considered during selection. Requests for further information may follow after receiving your application.

Please feel free to email or speak to me if you have any questions.

Charles Brooks, Captain – GB Veterans Team to the LRWC 2024
