We are very sorry to report the passing of Dion O’Leary.

A proud Welshman, he represented Wales 21 times in the National Match and 24 times in the Mackinnon, including captaining the team on a number of occasions. He also represented Wales at two Commonwealth Games, in Brisbane in 1982, and in Auckland in 1990. He was Chairman of the Welsh Rifle Association for many years, before latterly becoming its President.

A well-known and respected figure at Bisley for many years , he won 2 Queen’s Final badges and 2 Grand Aggregate Crosses during his shooting career. He also toured Canada with the 1981 Great Britain Rifle team.

Our thoughts are with Gabby and other members of his family, as well as with his many friends.
