CSR Winter League 2018/19 – March

Civilian Service Rifle Winter League 2018/19

Saturday 2nd March

This popular CSR Winter League competition is running from October 2018 to April 2019.

 

**Entries open approximately 6 weeks prior to the competition**

What to expect

For the majority of the league you can expect to be shooting from 100-600x in a mixture of standing, squatting, kneeling or prone positions.

The day is arranged with half of the competitors on the firing point at a time; the other half operating targetry in the butts. On the firing point the first competitor will shoot the full course of fire, followed by the second competitor. If you are new to CSR or would like additional guidance, we aim to squad you as the second shooting competitor in a detail. The day is divided up into AM and PM, during both sessions you will shoot and be in the butts.

The Courses of Fire (CoF) for each individual match will be available nearer the event.

The City Rifle Club Combined Autumn Rifle Meeting

The City Rifle Club Combined Autumn Rifle Meeting

 

The annual City Rifle Club, Royal Navy Target Rifle Club and Hertfordshire Rifle Association Combined Autumn Meeting will take place on the weekend of the 8th and 9th September 2018. With shooting at short range on Saturday and long range on Sunday, we look forward to receiving your entry. 

We are pleased to announce that we will be supporting the use of electronic targets at long range for the first time this year, with support from the NRA to ensure all runs smoothly. 

As usual, there will be a dinner in the City Rifle Club on the Saturday night, open to shooters and guests. Tickets can be booked via the online entry page

Military Adaptive Championship

Military Adaptive Championship 2019

The Military Adaptive Championships is sponsored by the NRA and there is FREE to enter but we do require you to complete the entry form

The National Rifle Association in conjunction with the Army Rifle Association are proud to present the Military Adaptive Shooting Championship 2019.

The Adaptive Championships is open to any Serving or Veteran Service personnel who have been injured during their service.

 

What does the day include?

Open to any Serving or Veteran Service personnel, a variety of competitions will be on offer including:

  • Advancing Targets
  • Snaps & Rapids
  • Mini McQueen (sniper style shoot)

Muzzle Loading rifles are also available for all competitors to fire between the above competitions.

 

All firearms and ammunition will be provided as well as drinks and snacks which will be available throughout the day. Lunch comprising sandwiches, rolls, fruit and cakes will be provided on the range from 1200 hrs.

 

Prizes are awarded to both the Serving and Veteran winner of each Match, and the overall Championship winner. Prize Giving will take place on the range at approximately 1330 hrs.

Whilst at Bisley competitors and spectators are welcome to enjoy the Tri-Service Queen’s Medal Presentations and Methuen Cup Match.

Target Shotgun Skills Development Course

The Target Shotgun (TS) Skills Development Course will provide the fundamental skills for taking part in TS events and competitions, and will include individual coaching of positional shooting techniques. The course is open to full NRA members and any other person over 14 years who is not a prohibited person under section 21 of the Firearms Act. Non-NRA Member are required to pay and additional Non-Member Fee of £6.85.

The 1-day course will involve both classroom and practical range work with expert coaching from national and international level shooters.

Can I attend?

The course is open to all NRA members who have a Shooter Certification Card (SCC) for Target Shotgun, including those who do not currently hold an FAC.  Non NRA members can attend providing they possess a SCC and pay the additional membership fee.
