We are sorry to report the passing of Phil Amy, long time NRA member and stalwart Jersey rifleman.

Amongst many other things, Phil was involved in two of Jersey’s finest moments in Fullbore shooting: their first ever victory in the Kolapore in 1984 – when he not only shot, but also coached – and in the Commonwealth Games of 1990 – when his experience of competing twice before in 1974 and 1978 was called upon as manager of the Jersey team which won Gold in the Individual and Bronze in the teams event.

Our condolences go to his family and all his many friends in Jersey and all over the world.

Andrew Mercer

Group Chief Executive & Secretary General
