Shooting has been offered at Sedbergh for over 120 years. Air rifle, air pistol, and .22 rifle are available year-round, both on the on-site 10m and 25-yard ranges, and at local clubs for outdoor training. Experienced shooters have the opportunity to shoot 3-position rifle as part of the only school 3P squad in the country.

In the Summer term, pupils have the opportunity to shoot from 200 to 1400 yards at Huddersfield, Blair Atholl, and Bisley. Shooting team members regularly attend both the Youth Imperial and Target Rifle Imperial Meetings.

The Sedbergh School Rifle Club has a very strong record of successes, having won the Ashburton Shield multiple times, and many current students and alumni representing both GB and other nations on the international stage.

They are looking for a Shooting Graduate Assistant to support the delivery of the schools outstanding Sports programme in the Senior School through coaching teams and individuals and share enthusiasm for Sport with the Sedbergh School pupils.
