Target Rifle Skills Course

Saturday 27th – Sunday 28th April 2019

This two day Target Rifle Skills Course will provide the fundamental skills to improve their scores and take part in TR events and competitions.

This course is aimed at shooters who have some experience of shooting TR – and ideally those who own their own rifle and equipment.

Course Highlights:

The course will focus on:

  • Shooting equipment
  • Zeroing
  • Shooting position and technique
  • Breathing and trigger control
  • Plotting as an aid to group centring
  • Wind reading
  • Essentials of competition and team shooting
  • Rifle maintenance
  • Clubs

The course involves both classroom and practical range work, with expert coaching from national and international level shooters.

Who can take part?

The course is open to all NRA members including those who do not currently hold an FAC or possess the appropriate firearm.

Non-NRA members can attend providing they have successfully completed the required probationary course, possess an appropriate firearm and pay the additional course fee.

This course does not offer a Shooter Certification Card (SCC) assessment – therefore if you do not have ‘Iron Sighted Rifle” listed SCC you would not be able to enter this course.

Attendees must be over 14 years of age on the first day of the course.
