The National Shooting Centre (NSC) has taken over the operation of the Sporting Rifle ranges at Bisley.

The facility will be managed by the Bisley Shooting Ground (BSG) team, building on their proven success over recent years in delivering high quality shooting experiences. Day to day operations will be handled by BSG staff, supported by the expertise drawn from NSC staff and sporting rifle community.

Throughout April, access to the ranges will be limited to enable improvement and refurbishment works. Competitions and events already scheduled by the NSC and British Sporting Rifle Club (BSRC) will continue as planned during this period.

New running deer, running boar and other equipment is on order and due to be installed by the end of June. In the meantime, the existing target system will remain in use until the new equipment is installed.

We are committed to widen the accessibility of shooting at the new Bisley Sporting Rifle ranges, making them more accessible to all ages and abilities. Our ambition is to encourage growth across sporting rifle disciplines and deliver a welcoming environment for new and experienced shooters alike.

The Bisley Sporting Rifle ranges will reopen on Thursday 1 May 2025. We look forward to welcoming NRA members, affiliates, BSRC members and the wider shooting community.

Details of the new website and membership offering will be announced shortly.

We are excited to build upon the outstanding legacy of the British Sporting Rifle Club, whose energy, determination and commitment created the Sporting Rifle Complex that we find today.
